Only <strong>valid data\u00a0<\/strong>will lead to right people&#8217;s decisions.<br \/>\nAs Daniel Kahneman\u00a0stipulates in his must-read book &#8216;Thinking fast and slow,&#8217; people place too much confidence\u00a0in human judgment. We all are subject to <strong>cognitive biases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, most organizations trust the feedback of the manager and the HR Business Partner to gather input on the potential, aspirations, risk of leaving, \u2026 of the employee.<br \/>\nWe better make the data, used during Talent Review Meetings, as evidence-based as\u00a0possible, including the employee&#8217;s perspective. Only then can we rely on good people&#8217;s\u00a0decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we avoid the risk of weak people&#8217;s decisions, by using several sources to collect\u00a0information on each employee discussed in the Talent Review Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the same\u00a0person from different angles increases the objectivity and correctness of the advice and\u00a0decisions taken. We also train the managers in the aligned interpretation of definitions and<br \/>\ncompetencies used. We make it mandatory to have a dialogue with each employee prior to\u00a0the Talent Review Meeting, to clarify the ambitions. And still \u2026 we lack an evidence-based\u00a0approach.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to bring the\u00a0<strong>Talent Review Profiler<\/strong>\u00a0to your attention as a possible answer to this\u00a0shortcoming.<\/p>\n<p>This talent intelligence tool, which consists of a questionnaire completed by\u00a0the employee and one by the manager, gives <strong>evidence-based input<\/strong> on the potential, risk of\u00a0leaving, the relation between the manager and employee and other vital data to feed the\u00a0discussions during the Talent Review Meeting and take informed decisions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My clients ask me how to ensure that the data, discussed during Talent Review Meetings, are\u00a0trustworthy.
